student of the year- day 1 review

on the first day of filming for the student of the year we was given the task to fil four seperate students that had been nomintaed for the awsrd. the first one was, a man called edward caleen and was nomited for the award in the field of level 2 maths and englsh. the sort of shots we used was first of all an interview sort of style and then a a point of view shot with the palatine college logo in the background to give it some sort of depth of field. the second we filmed was two students from perfroming arts who had got distintion stars, this was the most time consuming one out of the four beacsue we had to film two of them at the same time. also when we was doing the interview sort of style we had to do quite a lot of takes due to the fact that they were not really answering the questions the way in which we wanted them to. we did a sort of scenario where they were practicing with their scripts this was quite good and we made it funny by the use of the cheesy grins. the next student that we had to film was the photography student she was very coraprative and she helped with the filming by acting as if she was in a photo shoot and then we just filmed a mid shot and a wide shot. then we ha a interview sort of style in a computer room. i think overall the process went very well and didnt really take to long. my role in the production was to be a production assistant and this involved being on the shotgun mic and making sure that the audio was ok and not distorted in any way.
